Michael Minarik made his Broadway debut in Les miserables in 2007 playing the roled of Grantaire and understudying the roles of Javert and Thenardier.
Prior to that he was on the Broadway National Tours of Urinetown where he performed the role of Bobby Strong, and Little Women as John Brooke. He was also in the original Broadway cast of  Rock of Ages where he garnered a Tony Nomination as an assoc producer of the show. Michael was a Swing in rock of ages and performed the roles of Lonny, Dennis, Staccee Jaxx and Hertz for over 6 years.  He also performed on the Tony awards at Radio City Music Hall and was a presenter as well.

Michael performed in his 3rd Broadway show, Matilda, as the Escape Artist and understudying the Trunchbull which he performed over 30x as well as Mr Wormwood. Michael is also a regular singer at Yankee Stadium where he performs God Bless America and The National Anthem for Opening Day and the Playoffs. He has also performed in regional theatres all over the country, notably PaperMill PLayhouse in MIlburn NJ, The cape playhouse on Cape Cod, and the Signature Theater in Shirlington, Va where he performed in Kander and Ebb's The Happy time" with John Kander assisting.
   

Michael Is also the Co-founder of The 2 year post-secondary program , The Institute for American Musical theater (www.iamusicaltheatre.com, @iamusicaltheatre ((instagram))) in NYC and newly partnering in online classes with Broadwayworld.com. With students on multiple national tours (Escape to Margartitaville, Sound of Music, Cats, Kinky Boots, Finding Neverland,  RENT, etc) as well as 2 students making their Broadway Debut's this fall, his school has become one of the best training grounds for musical theatre in the country.  He is also one of the owners of the dance convention/competition company, BellaMoxi which tours in over 9 cities across the country with Nationals Being in NYC this year.  Michael went to Oakton elementary and Oakton highschool in Oakton, Va.  

 Master Classes are a three hour workshop offered in 2 sessions. Students will focus on audition technique and acting through song to enhance their performance quality with Tony® Award winning instructors, Broadway performers, and Broadway and TV/Film casting directors! Each class gives students the opportunity to work with top NY professionals on such subjects as song interpretation, vocal technique, scene study and monologue performance.  This session will include Acting Through Song, How to Prepare Your Score, Audition Technique and  Q and A.  

3 hours Master Classes (limited spots) are open to advanced students ages 8-25, and class size is typically limited to 20 singing participants to ensure that each student receives personal attention from our special guest instructors.  Class may hold other students observing, not participating in singing.  

Singing Participants Must: Have a 32 bar audition cut ready to go.  Bring back track of accompaniment or haves sheet music marked for an accompanist.

Private Lessons with our guest are also offered (very limited spots). $50 half hour.
